For college students looking to make a student with the ongoing monsoon, love theme umbrellas seem to be a popular choice at the moment.
Imported from various countries, these quirky monsoon picks are available across gift galleries in the city and youngsters seem to be opting for this as a good monsoon gift for their partners. Says Mustastafa Zenithwala, an owner of a gift gallery, “This year we have these love theme umbrellas that are especially being imported from Dubai.There are various options in this category like the twin umbrellas or couple umbrellas.” These usually range between `1500 and `2000. Among the most popular ones are the twin umbrellas, which allow two
people to share it. Priced upwards of `1000, these are the fastest-selling ones.
Shoppers Jitin and Apeksha, picked up one of these twin umbrellas, and told us, “Enjoying monsoon in the college campus, walking hand in hand under one umbrella with your girlfriend is certainly a romantic idea. Therefore we are picking these umbrellas to flaunt our love.”
For others, there are also heart shaped umbrellas and those in a multitude of shades to
express love without boundaries. Of course, pink umbrellas and butterfly-shaped umbrellas are as popular as always, says shopkeepers.
